Liquid-Liquid Centrifugal Extractor is a new, fast and efficient liquid-liquid extraction and separation equipment. Its working principle is fundamentally different from traditional extraction equipment such as mixer-settler and extraction tower. Liquid-Liquid Centrifugal Extractor uses an electric motor to drive the drum to rotate at high speed. Two immiscible liquids with different densities are mixed and transferred under the shear force generated by the rotation of the drum or blades, and are quickly separated under the centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotation of the drum.

1.Mixing and mass transfer process

The light and heavy phase solutions enter the mixing area inside the shell from two feed ports in a certain proportion, so that the two phases are quickly mixed and dispersed, completing the mixing and mass transfer process.

2.Separation process

The mixed liquid enters the drum under the action of the feeder or turbine disk. In the cavity area, the mixed liquid quickly rotates with the drum. Under the action of centrifugal force, in the upward flow process, the heavier liquid leaves the center of the drum and flows toward the drum wall, while the lighter liquid leaves the drum wall and flows toward the center. The clarified liquid enters the collection chamber through the respective weir plates and is discharged from the light and heavy phase outlets to complete the separation process.
